Community Health, Well-being, & Safety

  • WIC: Kimberly Parkway Satellite Office

    Directions for Youth & Families has partnered with WIC to operate out of their Annex building (3860 Kimberly Parkway) next to the Crittenton Community Center. 

    WIC office operates Tuesday & Thursdays from 8:30am-4pm. On the last Thursday of the month, the hours are 8:30am-12pm.

  • OhioHealth Wellness on Wheels Mobile Unit

    OhioHealth is proud to offer primary care, women’s health, and prenatal care services through their Wellness on Wheels mobile unit at Directions for Youth and Families Crittenton Center (3840 Kimberly Parkway).

    Services and Times

    -Women’s Health and Prenatal Care: Tuesdays from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM

    -Primary Care: Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (twice a month)

    Appointment Scheduling: Call (614) 645-5449 to schedule an appointment. Please call no later than 1:30 PM for same-day appointments. No walk-ins after 2:00 PM.

  • YMCA Stable Families Program

    At the Y, through our Community Strengthening programs, we empower families to create and maintain stable environments where children can grow and thrive. We aim to promote long-term family self-sufficiency by intentionally focusing on academic success, housing stabilization plans, and increasing family income.

    Families in Franklin County with children eligible for Pre-K through 12th grade may apply for the Stable Families program. Depending on the family’s needs, participation can last from 4 to 12 months.

  • Free Legal Help in Southeast and Central Ohio

    Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO) offers free noncriminal legal help for people with low income, veterans, and seniors in 36 counties. We work every day to make sure you are treated fairly. Have a legal question about family law, housing, public benefits, or another noncriminal issue? Contact us.

    You can search the online Community Resource Directory to find free or reduced cost services that support good health, like transportation, food, housing, mental health services and financial assistance.

    CelebrateOne & Columbus Metropolitan Library have come together to provide you with a free pregnancy test kit. See staff to pick one up! For resources and proof of pregnancy, call CelebrateOne at 614-570-3592

  • Mobile Health Locator

    The Central Ohio Mobile Consortium (COMC), a partnership between 10 local entities and health organizations, has come together with the goal of making high-quality health care more accessible for everyone through mobile health units.

    The new Mobile Health Locator app is a free tool that makes it easy to search for mobile health units nearby and access the care you need – wherever you are.

    These mobile health units are open to all Central Ohio residents and offer a wide range of services for adults and children, including primary care, urgent care, mental health care, prenatal care, and more!

  • Mid-Ohio Food Collective: Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

    The Commodity Supplemental Food Program is a federal program that provides eligible seniors with a MONTHLY box of shelf-stable items. Examples of items distributed in the box: cheese, juice, cereal, pasta, peanut butter, and canned goods.
