Celebrate Black History Month with a free film screening at COSI!
The Department of Neighborhood celebrates Black History Month and finishes out the One Dream, Many Voices campaign by hosting a community movie screening, featuring Genius: MLK/X, a Netlfix series that highlights the early journeys and beginning rivalry of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X. The series highlights how Malcolm's release from prison and King's university graduation start their journeys to change the nation and their beginning rivalry; as well as Malcolm’s first encounter with the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and how MLK’s family obligations test Malcolm's commitment to the movement.
